Tarot spreads are an essential part of tarot reading, and they can help you gain insight and clarity about a particular situation or question. Tarot spreads refer to the arrangement of tarot cards on a surface, with each card representing a specific aspect or position in a reading. In this blog, we'll explore some simple tarot spreads that beginners can use to start their tarot journey. I'm using the Akashic Tarot deck to demonstrate (I highly recommend these).

1. Three-card Spread: The three-card spread is one of the simplest tarot spreads and is perfect for beginners. It consists of three cards, with each card representing the past, present, and future. Shuffle your deck and draw three cards, placing them in a line from left to right. The card on the left represents the past, the middle card represents the present, and the card on the right represents the future.

2. Celtic Cross Spread: The Celtic Cross is one of the most popular tarot spreads and is ideal for gaining insight into a particular situation or question. This spread consists of ten cards arranged in a cross shape. The first card represents the situation or question, while the second card represents the obstacle. The third card represents the subconscious, while the fourth card represents the conscious mind. The fifth card represents the recent past, while the sixth card represents the near future. The seventh card represents the person's attitude, while the eighth card represents the environment. The ninth card represents hopes and fears, while the tenth card represents the outcome.

3. One-card Spread: The one-card spread is the simplest tarot spread and is ideal for quick, daily readings. Simply shuffle your deck, draw one card, and use it as a focus for meditation or reflection. This spread is perfect for beginners who are just starting to explore tarot and want to gain insight into their day-to-day life.

4. Relationship Spread: The relationship spread is ideal for gaining insight into a particular relationship, whether it's romantic, platonic, or professional. This spread consists of six cards arranged in a diamond shape. The first card represents the person asking the question, while the second card represents the other person in the relationship. The third card represents the past, while the fourth card represents the present. The fifth card represents the future, while the sixth card represents the outcome.

In conclusion, tarot spreads are an essential part of tarot reading and can provide insight and clarity about a particular situation or question. The above tarot spreads are simple and perfect for beginners who are just starting to explore the world of tarot. Remember that tarot is a tool for self-discovery, and the more you use it, the more insight and clarity you'll gain about yourself and the world around you.
